Before we talk about incentives or rewards, it’s important to understand why you’re here and how this business fits into your life right now.
This module is about grounding your business in purpose, setting realistic expectations, and understanding the support available to you. There is no rush here. Clarity comes before confidence.
Your “why” is personal. It might be financial, relational, health-focused, or simply a desire for something more flexible. There is no right or wrong reason to be here — what matters is being honest about what motivated you to start.
Your reason for starting matters. It shapes how you build, how much time you give, and what success looks like for you in this season. There’s no right or wrong answer — only honesty.
One of the most common questions new consultants have is, “How does this actually turn into money?” Let’s break it down in a simple, realistic way — no hype, no pressure.
Your income as a Norwex Consultant comes from personal retail sales, and you earn 35% commission on what you sell. That means if you sell $1,000 in product, you earn $350. There are no guarantees regarding income, but understanding the math helps you set clear and realistic expectations.
On average in the U.S., a Norwex party brings in about $600 in sales and takes roughly 3 hours total (prep, party, and follow-up). At 35% commission, that’s about $210 per party, or approximately $70 per hour. Some parties will be higher, some lower — this is simply an average to help you visualize what’s possible.
Here’s where it starts to click:
1 party ≈ $210
2 parties ≈ $420
4–5 parties ≈ $1,000
So when we talk about goals like $500, $1,000, or $1,500 in sales, we’re really talking about a manageable number of parties, not a constant hustle.
This is why we emphasize consistency over intensity. You don’t need to party every night or say yes to everything. Most growth comes from a few well-planned parties spread across the month, paired with genuine relationship-building and thoughtful follow-up.
Seeing this on a calendar can be especially helpful. When you write in just a few parties across a month, you can clearly see how your time, energy, and income connect. The Party Math calendar below is meant to help you visualize that rhythm — not to lock you into a rigid plan.
Party math isn’t a rule or a requirement — it’s simply a tool. It helps you decide:
How many parties fit your life right now
Whether that supports the goals you shared earlier
What feels realistic and sustainable in this season
This is how we build a business that supports your life instead of competing with it.
👉🏼 Next step: Print this party math calendar (or work it digitally) and start sketching out what could be possible for you.
Now that you understand how income works, let’s talk honestly about time.
You’re your own boss now, which is exciting, but a sustainable business starts with a realistic schedule, not an ideal one. This step isn’t about doing more or adding pressure. It’s about aligning your goals with the time and energy you actually have available in this season of life.
You are not committing to hustle. You are choosing consistency that fits your real life.
When filling out your calendar, always put in your top priorities first (family, social, church, etc.). Party around that. Take a highlighter (I choose green because green=$! haha), and mark the days that you can party. This helps us build a business that supports your life — not one that competes with it.
Aligning Goals & Time
If your goals and your available time don’t feel perfectly aligned right now, that’s okay.
This step isn’t about changing your goals or pushing you harder. It’s about adjusting expectations with grace, so what you’re building is something you can actually sustain.
Your schedule can grow later. For now, we’re focused on building a steady foundation that feels realistic, manageable, and life-giving.
One of the biggest gifts of this business is that you’re not building it alone. Community, connection, and consistent learning are what keep momentum going — especially in the early days.
These meetings/events are designed to support you, encourage you, and help you grow in confidence over time. You don’t need to attend everything. What matters most is choosing to stay connected.
Opportunities include:
Mega Party / Opportunity Call
These are weekly parties you can invite people to. These are put on the Norwex Home Office on Zoom!
Team Meetings
These are where community is built — encouragement, practical tips, shared wins, and reminders that you’re not doing this alone. Our team is amazing!
Once a month, in-person here in Louisville, KY (2nd Thursday of every month)
Once a month on Zoom (2nd Monday of every month)
Trainings / Events
Ongoing! Be on the lookout for information about team events and events run by the Home Office.
Norwex Conference
Any consultant can attend these. Usually, in July or August each year, at different locations.
You’ll always receive details ahead of time so you can plan and decide what works best for you.
Growth in this business doesn’t come from having all the answers — it comes from being willing to show up consistently.
When you show up:
You learn how to improve your skills
You gain confidence
You stay encouraged
You remember your why
You build relationships that matter
There’s a saying in this business that’s true time and time again: “Those who show up, go up.”
Showing up doesn’t mean being the loudest, the most knowledgeable, or the most experienced. It simply means being present, open to learning, and willing to stay connected.
Choose What You’ll Prioritize
Take a moment to think about which happenings you want to prioritize right now. This helps me support you in a way that aligns with your schedule and goals.
Each month, our whole team — The Gleam Team — gathers in person for connection, training, and encouragement. These meetings are hosted by a Red Jacket leader on our larger team, Missy Carson, at her home in Mt. Washington, Kentucky.
We meet on the second Thursday of every month, and these nights are about so much more than business. You can expect:
Fellowship and community
Practical training you can actually use
Prizes and recognition
Encouragement and fun
We also host special gatherings throughout the year — like Friendsgiving — that deepen relationships and make this business feel like a place you truly belong.
In-person meetings are optional, but they’re incredibly impactful. There’s something powerful about learning and growing face-to-face.
In addition to in-person gatherings, we host monthly team-wide Zoom meetings on the second Monday of every month so everyone can stay connected — no matter where you live or what your schedule looks like.
These Zoom meetings are designed to:
Provide clear, simple training
Share wins and encouragement
Help you learn from others in real time
Zoom meetings are a great option if you can’t attend in person or if you’re in a season where flexibility matters most. You don’t need to participate perfectly or have everything figured out — even listening in can make a big difference.
These meetings are part of how we grow together, stay encouraged, and remember that we’re not building alone.
